THE GAME
It started with Toronto26 — a pretty simple idea to build some hype around Toronto hosting World Cup matches. We figured if we were this excited about our city being part of the biggest sporting event on the planet, other people would want to celebrate it with us too.
Turns out, they did.
What we realized pretty quickly was that this wasn't really about one tournament. People want to watch together. They want the atmosphere, strangers in the same kit, the collective groan when the keeper drops it, the whole bar erupting when it hits the back of the net. That's the matchday feeling, and you don't need to be at the stadium to get it — you just need to find it.
And that was the hard part. Where do you actually go to watch with people who care as much as you do? Which bars actually show your league? Which ones are real soccer bars, not just a bar with a TV in the corner?
That's the gap we set out to fill. Matchday Social exists to connect fans beyond the stadium — to make it easier to find your people, find your spot, and make every matchday feel like one worth showing up for. These days, Mike's stepped back into a founding advisor role, and I'm still here running things day to day.

The guy who will absolutely book a flight around a fixture. Christian has attended more than 10 games overseas, including unforgettable nights in Paris, Milan, and São Paulo. He's chased the game across the world so you don't have to — but he'll probably tell you to go anyway.
Mike
Founding Advisor
A lifelong soccer fanatic with a kit collection that has gotten completely out of hand — over 40 shirts from clubs across six continents and counting. If there's a kit drop anywhere in the world, Mike probably already knows about it.
Childhood friends. Soccer fanatics.
